I have attended a 20-hours PreMed Yoga immersion over this weekend at YOPA Yoga. I came across PreMed Yoga in one of Gwen's classes at YOPA and was very impressed with: - Gwen's knowledge and mastery of anatomy - The effectiveness of targeted releases using the MYRing - Gwen's gentleness in adjustment - How seemingly simple releases can improve the depth of my stretches and yoga poses I was also looking for something more than yoga and something potentially healing, because I am familiar with dynamic flow yoga practices, but found that the deeper releases actually enable the entire yoga practice (and other physical disciplines like dance) to improve in flexibility and strength. Thus I signed up for the immersion weekend. Overall I was very touched by the love and intention with which the workshop was put together by Brandon and Gwen, with Brandon providing a very conducive space for event, and with Gwen generously sharing her knowledge and time with us. Gwen is able to make such good adjustments to yoga poses, and able to teach from the very very basics of what makes a yoga pose work, totally changing my understanding of how to engage my muscles when going into a pose! Gwen's knowledge of what muscles to activate, what releases need to be done to prep for a pose, and the method of gradual deepening through stretching, release, and breathing into a pose are so impactful!! I'm very amazed at my changes after the workshop. Also, Gwen is very loving and I can feel her kind and gentle touch when she is doing the adjustments. I have felt very loved and nurtured by the whole experience with this immersion and through my yoga classes at YOPA. Thank you to Brandon and Gwen ❤️Posted on Evia TongTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Attended Gwen premed immersion workshop. It has been an insightful and wonderful class that really stretch, release and strengthen my muscles and joints. Felt renewed and happier after the workshop. Gwen and Brandon both are encouraging and knowlegeable assisting you safely into the pose with ease. Highly recommended premed yoga. Is beginner friendly and especially in this modern stress society is something our body needs to reset and build resilience. Yopa studio have good teachers and I really love the small cosy supportive environment for us to practice without judgement.Posted on DLTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dawn is the best!! I enjoyed her Yin Yang session and guidance (both emotionally and physically). (Not sure whose responsibility is this but) It would’ve been great if I got a walkthrough on the amenities since it was my first visit - I did not know there was a changing area, vanity, shower, locker or even water.
